Last Day

There was a ride this morning but Nace and I opted to hang out at our beautiful accommodation and relax before another frantic travel day from Florence to Rome.  Thus there are no ride stats or telemetry for this blog.  I had a sense of Deja vu of this melancholy at the end of our last Backroads trip.


We packed our stuff, had breakfast and hung out exchanging goodbyes and best wishes for everyone to have a safe trip home.  

We spent a wonderful week with an incredible group of people who share passion about cycling, wine, cuisine and fellowship.  We also got to know three remarkable young people who restore faith that the world will be just fine with them in charge.  


My final advice to those traveling to Italy in the future.  First, do not put it off.  It will exceed your expectations.  Second bring a washcloth, they are as rare as palladium and a whole lot more useful.
